PRE-KINDER & KINDERGARTEN

The child must be at least four (4) years old for Pre-Kindergarten and five (5) years old for Kindergarten by December 31 of the current year.

The following documents must be presented upon application for enrolment:

  1. A photocopy of an NSO authenticated Certificate of Live Birth
  2. A photocopy of Baptismal Certificate (for Catholics)

The child must pass the Placement Examination and Interview

GRADE ONE

The child must be at least six (6) years old by December 31 of the current year.

The following documents must be presented upon application for enrolment:

  1. A photocopy of an NSO authenticated Certificate of Live Birth
  2. A photocopy of Baptismal Certificate (for Catholics)
  3. Kindergarten Report Card

The child must pass the qualifying examinations given by the school (for new pupils only). The applicant is expected to:

  1. answer personal questions
  2. identify vowel and consonant letters with their sounds
  3. read words with C-V-C and C-V-C-C patterns
  4. identify numbers both in words and figures
  5. add and subtract one digit numbers
  6. identify primary and secondary colors
  7. copy short sentences
NEW STUDENTS

Present the following requirements to the Registrar’s Office:

  1. Photocopy of an NSO authenticated Certificate of Live Birth
  2. A photocopy of Baptismal Certificate (for Catholics)
  3. Form 138 or Report Card:
  • Original copy or photocopy of Form 138 with grades up to third quarter must be presented if the student/pupil will take the entrance examination before the end of school year or before the release of cards.

  1. Certificate of Good Moral Character from the school last attended.

Before the First Quarter examination, the names of students who lack the necessary documents for admission will be posted at the Registrar’s Office. The documents must be submitted three days before the First Quarter Examination. This is for strict compliance.

TRANSFEREES

SMAH accepts transferees from other schools provided that the students/pupils have no failing grades in any subject as well as in conduct and that all requirements for new students/pupils are complied with.


Transferees for the Grade 10 will be admitted on a case to case basis and upon the approval of the Directress/Principal and in compliance with the requirements for the new students. Because Grade 10 is a terminal year, submission of Form 137 is a requisite. In case the students will not be able to submit the Form 137 upon enrollment, they will be considered temporarily enrolled. The document should be submitted to the Registrar’s Office not later than 3 days before the first quarter examination. Otherwise the concerned students will not qualify for Graduation and will not be issued any diploma, Report card, and Form 137 from SMAH for Grade 10 should they be able to finish and pass this year level.

OLD STUDENTS/PUPILS
  1. Present Report Card (Form 138)
  2. Students/pupils who are recommended to be put under Academic and Discipline Probation status must fill up and sign Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

All parents and students/pupils must sign an agreement of compliance with the policies of the school found in XI. Declaration at the inside back cover of this Handbook. Failure to do so will mean corrective measure at the behest of the school.

FOREIGN STUDENTS

Present the following requirements to the Registrar’s Office:

  1. Report Card (Form 138)
  2. Certificate of Good Moral Character from the previous school.
  3. Recommendation from the Principal / Guidance Counselor of the last attended school
  4. A photocopy of the NSO authenticated Certificate of Live Birth
  5. Photocopy of Baptismal Certificate (for Catholics)
  6. Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR)
  7. Certificate of Eligibility for Admission: From the Department of Education.

* Requirements f. and g. are not necessary if both parents of the applicant are Filipino citizens or if one or both parents have dual citizenship.

REQUIREMENTS FOR RE-ADMISSION TO SMAH
  1. Students / Pupils who dropped out during the school year for valid reasons may be re-admitted the following school year without taking the entrance examination.

  2. Students / Pupils who transferred to another school or dropped for some time and would like to come back may be re-admitted after complying with the norms for admission of new students.

  3. Two failing marks in conduct during the school year or a failing final grade in conduct will bar a student / pupil from re-admission.

  4. Students / Pupils, who were suspended twice within the school year for at least three days, and those who committed “grave offense”, shall not be re-admitted.

  5. Students (Junion High School) with failing grades in any subject are required to take summer classes before they are re-admitted the next school year.

  6. Students who were not able to comply with the requirements of their Probation Agreement, Academic or Disciplinary, will not be re-admitted.
