1. ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

This is a one-year scholarship granted to Grade 2 to Grade 12 students who have been awarded first and second honors in the previous school year. The first honors will have free tuition fees, thus, he/she will only be paying the miscellaneous and other fees. The second honors will get 50% tuition fee discount and will be paying the miscellaneous and other fees.

2. EMPLOYEE PRIVILEGE

This educational benefit is granted to children (legitimate and legally legitimatized offspring) of full-time permanent personnel. This privilege has to be applied for and renewed annually at enrollment time. It is automatically forfeited once the personnel resigns or is released from service. The privilege is also forfeited when the student gets married. Depending on the availability of funds these discounts may be as follows: First Child – 100% discount on tuition fees

Second Child – 75% discount on tuition fees Third Child – 50% discount on tuition fees Fourth Child – up – 25% discount on tuition fees

A hundred percent (100%) tuition fee discount to one (1) dependent is granted to any full-time personnel who remains single or married but childless after ten (10) years of continuous and satisfactory service.

 

3. SMAH ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP

As part of the school’s continuing support to provide quality education to all, the members of SMAH Alumni Association here and abroad grant 100% free tuition fee to deserving Junior High School students. Availability of this grant depends on the funds of the Association.

GUIDELINES:

3.1. The number of grantees per year depends on the availability of funds of the association.

3.2. The scholarship grant is open only to Grade 7 students.

3.3. The applicant should be a child of graduate of SMAH.

3.4. The applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • should have a general weighted average of 85% in the report card.

  • should submit a Certificate of Good Moral Character from school last attended

  • family must have an annual income not exceeding P100,000.00 as attested by the Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents

  • should submit a letter of application to the Association stating intent to avail of the scholarship.

  • should pass the SMAH Entrance Test

3.5. Successful applicants will retain their scholarship until Grade 10 on the following conditions:

  • No grade below 75 within the school year

  • General Average of 85% and above

  • Has not been put under Academic or Discipline Probation

  • Has not been subjected to any disciplinary action

3.6.  Acceptance of new applicants within the 4-year span is subject to deliberation of the association officers

4. INDIVIDUAL ALUMNI SPONSORSHIP

Graduates of SMAH may sponsor 100% of the grantee’s tuition fees.

4.1. Criteria for Selection: The applicant must:

  • Be in any grade level at SMAH

  • Deserving but financially needy

  • Have not been subjected to academic or disciplinary probation

  • Have an average of 83 and above

4.2.  Sponsorship is good for one (1) school year but may be renewed by the sponsor if fund is available and the student has:

  • No grade lower than 83 in all subjects and in all grading periods

  • No disciplinary problem

4.3.  The sponsored student is required to communicate with the sponsor once every quarter and must furnish the sponsor with a copy of the quarterly report card

5. SAMAGUSMA (SAMAHAN NG MGA MAGULANG AT GURO SA ST. MARY’S ACADEMY) FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

The SAMAGUSMA provides 50% to 100% financial assistance on tuition fees to poor but deserving students of SMAH. Financial Assistance is given for four (4) school years.

5.1. SAMAGUSMA conducts its own selection of grantees

5.2. The grantees are expected to:

  • Abide by school rules and regulations

  • Pass all subjects within the school year

  • Render free and whole-hearted service during SAMAGUSMA- sponsored activities in and out of school

  • Submit to SAMAGUSMA a copy of the quarterly report card

5.3. Continuance of financial aid is subject to the decision of SAMAGUSMA

6. RVM SCHOLARSHIP

To enflesh the school’s mission of intensifying scholarship program for the poor, the Religious community of St. Mary’s Academy of Hagonoy provided a scholarship grant to students who desire to avail of quality Ignacian Marian Education. The scholarship is made available to 2% of the total number of enrollment for the school year. This grant is enjoyed only for a year and is renewed upon evaluation of the student’s academic and disciplinary performance. The grantees from Grade One to Grade 10 enjoy discounts on tuition, miscellaneous and other fees depending upon the financial capability of the school.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTION:

  • should get an average of 80% in the SMAH entrance test (for new students)

  • has no grades lower than 80% in all subject areas in all grading periods

  • has not been subjected to any disciplinary action

  • not enjoying any form of other scholarships

  • has no siblings enjoying the same scholarship

  • poor but deserving

7. GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE FOR STUDENTS IN PRIVATE EDUCATION (GASTPE) GRANT EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CONTRACTING (ESC)

This financial aid is a government subsidy administered by FAPE (Fund for Assistance to Private Education). The Financial assistance is determined by the government. The grant is continuously availed from Grade 7 to Grade 10 as long as the student gets no failing grades.

7.1. Criteria for Selection: The student must:

  • Come from a public or private elementary school with government recognition

  • Has passing grades in all subject areas
